Hi, I'm Dani and I am the Founder of Career Meets Serendipity. As a certified Career, Life, and Executive Coach & Consultant, I have journeyed with thousands of career adventurers spanning from Team USA athletes, small businesses, students, veterans, to a diverse array of working private clients.
Credentials: I am an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified ACC coach. Additionally, I hold a Master's degree, GCDF, CCSP, and I am in the middle of my Ph.D. in Organizational Development & Leadership.
For teams and individual clients, I am certified in MBTI, SII, and as a Strengths Educator and love going through assessments—data is a wonderful complement to our journey!
Coaching
Coaching, per the International Coaching Federation, is “a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership.”
Coaching is coaching, whether it is for life topics, work/career topics, or relationships, our life is interconnected. And sometimes we get stuck or a little tangled, or keep getting the same results. In our sessions, you are the expert and through powerful lines of questioning, metaphors, and (sometimes) activities including guided imagery. We untangle the mess and find a lot of joy, freedom, insights, and a deep understanding of what needs to happen next.
Career seeker’s Philosophy: serendipity
Serendipity occurs throughout our life and career when we take the time to strategically be in the right place, at the right time, for the right next opportunity, goal, or step. Favorably: adverb. with approval. or to the advantage of someone or something. The only approval we need in leading a fulfilling career and life at the end of the day is YOUR approval of your actions and steps. While there is no magic formula, no guarantees, and no one size fits all; taking strategic initiative can make all the difference.
Over the years I have come to believe in both exceptions and rules: exceptions that go against traditional advice, but rules that still prevail 80% of the time. I believe in hard questions and work, self-reflection, a good cup of coffee (or perhaps a tall glass of beer/wine), and 110% commitment to yourself and the process.
Your life and career are UNIQUE and therefore, coaching and consulting is adapted to meet each client's set of circumstances and personality. It is my role to support, guide, give you honest, constructive feedback, understand your brand, and ultimately guide you towards success in leading your life and career favorably.
What I don’t do & will do for you in the career Consulting process:
I don’t write resumes, cover letters, or LinkedIn profiles for you. I teach you how to do it yourself—I’ll edit and consult along the way!
I cannot predict the future; I’m not a certified life & career fortune teller (ha, maybe I should create a cert!). I provide life & career activities, reflection exercises, visualizations, and research to help you make informed decisions.
I can’t give you all the answers; I believe you carry hold the answers to the important things, you truly know YOU best. I ask the tough questions, provide insight, and give needed encouragement along the way.
Guarantee you meet your next goal such as finding a job or the next opportunity right away. You will win the next role or meet a leadership or life goal on your own with my tools, consulting, and coaching— it’s most fulfilling when you do it and each person’s adventure takes a different amount of time to journey through.
